Sid wanted the dagger as soon as he saw it.
The man who had it wouldn’t care.
It’s hard to care when you’re dead.
When his new dagger is seen by one of the watchmen, Sid is accused of a murder he didn’t commit. Unwilling to face the hangman, he stows away on the first ship out of town. He couldn’t have known it was a pirate ship.
At sea, Sid is given the choice of signing the ship’s articles — becoming a pirate himself — or escaping on a ship the crew of the Fortune’s Queen has raided.
Lured by a freedom and camaraderie he’s never known, Sid chooses to stay. But his freedom could be short-lived. The watchman follows him across the sea, chasing tales of the pirate called Silver Sid.
